Will He-Man Take a Backseat As The Main Character In MOTU: Revelation?

Jun 11, 2022

With so many exciting movies & series coming out this summer, who can keep track? So far this month, Boss Baby, The Forever Purge, Escape Room, Black Widow, and Space Jam were released in theatres. Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins will open this Friday, July 23rd. On the same day, Netflix is releasing Master of the Universe: Revelation.

Back in the '80s, young children ran around screaming, "I have the POWER!" while watching the animated series He-Man and the Masters of the Universe. This '80s classic still holds strong messages for boys and girls alike.

Revelation is a direct sequel to the original series Masters of the Universe. The animation alone is a definite upgrade. However, what stays the same is Eternia and the character dynamics. Prince Adam is still secretly He-Man and works closely with Teela, Man-At-Arms and Orko. Together, they protect the realm from Skeletor and his minions like supervillainess Evil-Lyn.

Check out the trailer below!

A synopsis for the series has been released:

A radical return to Eternia, Revelation is a direct sequel series to the classic era of Masters of the Universe. Featuring fan-favorites He-Man, Orko, Cringer and Man-At-Arms, the story pits our heroic warriors and guardians of Castle Grayskull against Skeletor, Evil-Lyn, Beast Man and the vile legions of snake mountain!
But after a ferocious final battle forever fractures Eternia, it’s up to Teela to solve the mystery of the missing Sword of Power in a race against time to prevent the end of the Universe! Her journey will uncover the secrets of Grayskull at last. This is the epic He-Man and the Masters of the Universe saga fans have waited 35 years to see!

With the new series showcasing this Friday, will He-Man Take a Backseat As The Main Character In MOTU: Revelation or will he defeat Skeletor for the future of Eternia?
